Hello Parents!
We are very excited to announce that tomorrow we will be having our second Wacky Wednesday!!! Please send your camper in their tie dye shirt; if your camper did not get to tie dye a shirt feel free to wear any colorful shirt they have from home. HCA will also be hosting a Reptile Show in the MPR from 9:30-10:30! The campers will be allowed to touch the critters in the reptile show. Let us know ahead of time if you do not feel comfortable with your child touching/holding the reptiles. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow!

Due to the inclement of weather we may experience tomorrow, water play may be postponed until Thursday. If stated otherwise, grades 2-8 will still participate in swimming at the UD swimming pool. We will have alternative activities for the campers to participate in tomorrow.
Happy Father's Day to all of our HCA Summer Camp Father's!!! We hope you were rocking your neck ties while being celebrated in the coolest way!
A few reminders for this week:
If you have any questions or concerns please email either Mrs. Kellich, Julianne, or Bryanna. We are very excited to continue our summer adventure with your camper! Due to the lack of sun our little friends played with the bubble machine and enjoyed a delicious freeze pop instead of waterplay!
Next week is Pet Week down in Cornelia's Camp. If your little one has any animal allergies please send Mrs. Festa or Mrs. Clay an email! In addition, please send in a stuffed animal with your camper! [email protected] and [email protected] We are so glad we had the opportunity to spend some time outside before the rain paid us a visit! Group 1, 2, and 3 were able to tie dye their plain white t's with Julianne. While group 4 and 5 practiced their tree poses and downward dog stances in Yoga with Mrs. Thorne! Group 4 and 5 will be tie dying their shirts tomorrow in the morning.
As we prepare ourselves for the weekend, please make sure to check the lunch bins and lost and found (located in front of the welcome desk) for any missing belongings. For lunch tomorrow, we will be having Pizza! We will still be offering the normal options: Grilled Cheese, Hot Dog, Hamburger, and Cheeseburger. Parents/Guardians your camper has created awesome art projects that I hope you take home tomorrow. We will have their art work laid out in the Art room for you to see and pick up! We hope your camper is going home and telling you all about their yummy treats they have been making in Culinary Arts; tomorrow they will be making another sweet treat to share with you on your way home! We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow! Our little friends enjoyed their morning by splashing away in their water tables! They cooled downed with a fun flick and a soft pretzel. What a yummy treat!
It was great to see everyone come in their mismatch outfits! After a tough decision... Group 4 had the wackiest outfits on today; they were rewarded with Tootsie Roll Pops! We would like to encourage everyone to continue to participate for Wacky Wednesday.
Few reminders: Groups 3-5 have a 30-45 minute silent reading time after lunch. If your camper has a summer reading book, feel free to keep it in their backpacks! Camper's PK-8th will be tie-dying Thursday-Friday in the morning with Julianne. Please send in a white tshirt (it can be the HCA camp shirt). 3 HCA counselors will be accompanying grades 2 and up to the UD Pool on Mondays and Thursdays. Lifejackets will be provided for campers who are developing swim skills.
Please bring a towel, goggles, and extra clothes! The bus to UD leaves at 1 p.m. Everyday we have different rotations for the 5 groups; each rotation varies day to day.
